The Olympic Medal Hopeful Ayanleh Souleiman Of Djibouti Will Skip London Due to Injury

Ayanleh Souleiman who ran 3:30.31, the 4th fastest time in the world in 1500m will miss the 2012 London Olympic due to cortical thickening of tibia, and fibula 15cm length.

According to his coach Jama Aden who is accompanying Souleiman in Belfast “the athlete has injury also present in the distal Fibers of the petronius, the longest muscle which of the fibular stress syndrome”. “He is going to have 3-4 weeks rest and treatment here in Belfast” Aden concluded.

 

Souleiman was one of the 2012 Olympic Medal hopeful in coach Aden’s group. In 2012, he won 1500m, Hengelo where ran 3:30:31, Mile 3:50:21 in Eugene, Oregon; and the 3000m 7:42:22 in Doha.
